Moated Castle Sierhagen: Surrounded by Water
The Moated Castle Sierhagen is the most beautiful example for noble manors in Schleswig-Holstein. Surrounded by water, the manor is located 25 kilometers north of Lübeck and was built by the noblemen von Bockwoldt and von Westensee. Today, the moated castle belongs to the private property of Earl of Plessen.
Visitors are fascinated by the historical gate lodges, the old horse stable with a bell tower and the giant barns.
Two of the old barns, the former feeding barn from 1763 and the wedding barn from 1730, were lavishly restored and reconstructed. They are perfectly suitable for romantic weddings and stylish corporate events from 150 up to 600 people.
